Cerpen yang “HILANG”

Fiuhh.. benar-benar minggu yang melelahkan. Seminggu lagi ujian dirjen tetapi tugasku masih numpuk.Salahku sih menumpuk tugas tapi yaa mau gimana lagi. Kita kan pulang sekolahnya sore. Kadang saking capeknya, pulang sekolah aku langsung masuk kamar dan tidur. Jadinya tugas-tugas yang diberi guru tidak kukerjakan karena lupa.  Tetapi kalau teringat pasti pikirku “nanti saja kukerjakan” dan sialnya aku terlalu malas sehingga pada saat tugas itu akan dikumpul keesokan harinya, malam itu aku lembur mengerjakan tugas.

Tetapi, untuk kali ini aku putuskan untuk tidak menumpuk tugas lagi. Ini adalah tugas dari ibu Hilmi Helen, guru mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia disekolahku. Kami diminta untuk membuat cerpen dari sudut pandang orang pertama. Aku berencana untuk membuat cerpen tentang sahabat. Kenapa tidak cinta? Cinta terlalu klise dan pasti sudah banyak yang membuat cerpen tentang cinta. Lagi pula aku tidak pengalaman dalam hal cinta, jadi yaaa lupakan saja.

Malam itu, aku mulai mengerjakan tugas cerpen itu. Aku berencana untuk bercerita tentang Endang. Cewek gendut yang ngeselin karena suka pamer dan sok ngatur. Aku dan sahabat-sahabatku membencinya, tetapi ia tetap ingin dekat dengan kami. Paragraph pertama itu bercerita tentang sahabat-sahabatku dan bagaimana kami dekat. Paragraph keduanya bercerita tentang si Endang. Gadis sok pamer itu. Setelah itu aku mengantuk jadi cerpen yang sudah jadi dua paragraph itu aku save dan aku pindahkan ke flashdisk. Cuma dua paragraph yang jadi. Ya nggak apa lah daripada tidak ada sama sekali.

Keesokannya di sekolah, ibu Helen ada acara. Jadi kami ditinggal dan diminta untuk melanjutkan cerpen. Kebanyakan temanku sibuk bercerita. Karena saat itu aku sedang mood, jadi aku melanjutkan cerpenku di laptop Tanty. Karena kemarinnya aku sudah mengerjakan dua paragraph, hari itu aku melanjutkan ke paragraph ketiga.

Paragraph ketiga ini aku menceritakan awal konflik. Tidak tampak sih soalnya aku tambahkan candaan garing. Aku berencana untuk memutar otak pembaca cerpen-ku. Terlalu berharap ada yang mau membaca cerpenku. Mungkin ada yang akan membaca cerpenku. Yaitu, aku sendiri. Berarti aku memutar otakku sendiri. Ha-ha idiot.

Karena sangat mood dan bangga karena aku sendiri yang mengerjakan cerpenku saat itu, aku melanjutkan cerpen itu sampai enam paragraph. Hampir dua halaman. Akhirnya aku capek dan membuat keputusan untuk melanjutkannya dirumah.

Begitulah setiap harinya dalam minggu itu. Aku mengerjakannya dengan perlahan tapi pasti. Sedikit-sedikit, lama-lama menjadi bukit. Benar kata pepatah itu. Cerpenku hampir selesai. Aku melanjutkan cerpen itu sampai selesai di komputer kasir milik toko pamanku. Setelah selesai, kupindahkan ke flashdisk. Hati dan pikiranku lega karena akhirnya tugas yang paling membebaniku ini selesai juga. Yang biasanya aku tidak bisa tidur karena kepikiran cerpen yang belum selesai, malam itu aku tidur dengan sangat nyenyak.

Dan kemudian aku menjalani hari-hari dengan bahagia dan semangat. Aku melupakan tugas cerpen itu karena sudah selesai. Aku sibuk bermain dengan teman-temanku. Setiap pulang sekolah, aku bermain dan setelah itu berselancar di dunia maya. Sungguh bebas rasanya.

Tapi ternyata, rasa bahagia itu tidak berlangsung lama. Malam itu aku memutuskan untuk mem-print cerpen untuk dikumpulkan hari Senin esok karena malam itu sudah hari Sabtu. Sungguh pupus harapanku karena cerpen yang kukira sudah selesai itu tidak bisa dibuka. “The Office Open XML cerpen cannot be opened because there are problems with the contents” begitulah kata-kata yang muncul setiap kali aku meng-klik file itu. Aku kesal dan menyesal, nyaris menenteskan air mata. Mengapa tidak dari kemarin saja aku mem-print nya. Coba kalau saat selesai itu langsung aku print. Pasti tidak ada masalah.

Aku harus mengetik ulang cerpen itu. Tetapi karena kukerjakan secara berangsur-angsur, aku sudah lupa urutan cerpennya. Aku sulit merangkai kronologi konflik nya. Aku seperti orang yang depresi berat dan akhirnya aku mencoba mengetik cerpen lain saja. Tapi aku tak bisa. Aku sangat tertekan. Aku mencoba mencari di Yahoo, Google dan meminta tolong kepada siapa saja. Tetap tiada hasil.

Akhirnya malam itu aku lembur. Mencoba mendapatkan inspirasi untuk cerpen yang baru. Sungguh sulit pada awalnya. Tetapi ku coba ikuti kata pepatah “dimana ada niat dan kemauan, disitu ada jalan”. Kucoba lagi dan lagi sampai akhirnya aku mendapatkan inspirasi dan mengerjakan cerpen itu sampai larut malam. Aku kapok mengulur-ulur tugas. Aku berjanji pada diriku untuk tidak mengulanginya lagi.
